The life I perceived

I knew it had to leave,

I wanted to disturb the peace

Comfort zone to cease

To reinvent everything I was

To become who I’m to be,

Where did I slack?

Where did I lack to fit in?

Why did I cry in the mirror,

The walls are tearing down,
A new perception in my psyche,

Things I once chose,
No longer drive me,

Flowing like water,
The waves that I’m riding,

Taking my chances,
My intuition to guide me,

I manifest all that I see,
Everything shining like diamonds,

Force to be reckon with,

I shake,

As the ground beneath me quakes,

Withstanding all the trials I had in place,

And the ones yet to challenge my faith,

In the mirror I face,

Past demons and trauma,

I begin to change,

I know I can preserve through anything,

If I follow through,

Remaining brave.
