A Self Taught Reminder

No one ever seen me the way you do and I’m thankful they didn’t. I’m thankful no one seen me the way I saw myself, and maybe at times I wasn’t the best version of me, as I had to learn how to work through my traumas and find out who I was. Who I wanted to be. What direction I wanted to head in. How would I know what I wanted if I never encountered what I didn’t? How would I know how to love you if I couldn’t even look myself in the mirror?
